## Small experiments, large connections

Indy Integrative Medicine is the name of this research notebook. Published research interests me when a small, awkward experiment improves a large, comfortable idea. Thymulin has been particularly good at upsetting the separate compartments in which I had placed immunity, mineral chemistry and hormone regulation.

An experiment that can be taken apart suits my temperament: remove a metal, replace a missing signal, see which response changes. That explanatory work suits me. A long list of possible uses has much less appeal.

## Name, purpose and boundaries

There is no medical business behind Indy Integrative Medicine. This is not a clinic or a treatment service; there are no consultations, prescriptions or products available here. The geographic suggestion in the title is a name, not a claim about a local practice.
